It's not the first time I'm writing this, but I think I'm back once again. I didn't visit dA for about half a year or so. Yes, work kept my busy. It still does, but, I decided to pay dA a visit. So now I'm cleaning up my devWatch... still about 4000 pictures and 300 messages to go.

The holiday is over

Well I guess I'm back from Portugal. Too bad, it's a stunningly beautiful country. We had a nice time, lots of sun and even more fun.

But now I'm back...

It's hoilday time!

In just a few hours, our plane will depart. Destination: Faro, Portugal.

I'll be gone for about two weeks, so don't expect any updates, replies or whatsoever. What you may expect are a few nice shots (at least, I hope to take a few) and a totally relaxed Dee-ehn aka Robin .

And that's a long time!

I just noticed that's been about a year since I last updated my journal. Ooops! So, here it is, a new year, another update.

So what happened since I last updated this journal? I guess that's a lot of things. Last October, I kinda finished my studies. I also quit most of my jobs and I got one "real" job. In December I went to Paris for a few days, to celebrate my new life. In April I turned 27 (boo) and last month, in May I went to France for a week and in June I received my certificate. Also, I accepted a new job. Starting from September the first, I'll be working in Utrecht and shortly after I'll be moving there too. But first I have to buy me a house .

As some of you might have noticed, I've been away from DA for quite some time. I did very little photography last year (no spare time and certainly no inspiration). Last week I started uploading 2006 pictures (I really ran behind) and I'll soon start with 2007's first shots.

So stay tuned for new deviations and, of course, comments on yours.

It's been a while since I've been here. Thing is that I am awfuly busy with my studies, setting up a company, graduating from university and above all: work. But that's fine...

I just noticed that last week my nr of pageviews passed the 20k (yes, 200000 views). I'm quite proud of that. Okay I know I'm not doing that good, but still.. 20000 times, somebody went to see my dA page... wow
Also, my featured deviation, Going nowhere ([link]) has been viewed over 2000 times. I think I should turn this into a print... although I'd have to get a printing account first.

This weekend I'm off work. I'm still figuring out what to do. We planned to go to the Lowlands festival (huge Dutch alternative festival), just like we did last year (we really had a good time back then). The problem is that the wheather fuckin' stinks so most probably, we'll be dropping that trip (we didn't get any tickets yet). So... what to do know? We want to visit a city, but we don't know what one. We actually wanted to go to London, but since flying to London seems to be not the best thing to do atm, we'll be looking for something different. We already visited Berlin, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, Brussels, Antwerp, Florence, Cologne etc... so if anybody has any tips (not in the UK, considering the problems flying there), feel free to mention them..

About 2 weeks ago I wrote about our cat that was overrun by a car. A few days later, we got ourselves a new cat. A little white (half breed) maine coone and we called her Twyx. Tonight.. we had to put her down. When I got home I found her, almost dead (she had been ill last week, but she kind of got better). We hurried to the doc (I actually drove over 100kph where only 30 is allowed, through the pouring rain), but there was nothing he could do for her; he told us she'd probably always been ill. It's quite sad to see her go.. she was only 11 weeks old. It seems we're out of luck with cats. Still, we'll be trying to get another one soon....

Well that's it... back to work.
